Four judicial districts

Which Migration Court will consider a decision of the Swedish Migration Board depends on where in Sweden the Board made its decision.

As regards the Migration Courts, Sweden is divided into four ‘judicial districts’. Each judicial district covers several counties.

The Administrative Court in Stockholm receives cases from the counties of: Stockholms län, Uppsala län, Södermanlands län, Gotlands län, Västmanlands län, Dalarnas län, Gävleborgs län

The Administrative Court in Malmö receives cases from the counties of: Skåne län, Blekinge län, Jönköpings län, Kronobergs län, Kalmar län, Östergötlands län

The Administrative Court in Gothenburg receives cases from the counties of: Västra Götalands län, Hallands län, Värmlands län, Örebro län

The Administrative Court in Luleå receives cases from the counties of: Jämtlands län, Västernorrlands län, Västerbottens län, Norrbottens län
